Everytime we go the South African Embassy the tram goes past the Bern History Museum, but we have never been in. This time when we headed to Bern, I made sure that this would be our first stop after our meeting at the Embassy. It was fascinating to visit a Musuem totally devoted to the life and times of the City that you find yourself in. Downstairs was all about the old medieval times (certain aspects we found quite dark and depressing but I suppose it was the Dark Ages!) but then we ventured upstairs where the have a great timeline of all the famous people who once lived in Bern. It was amazing to see what Bernese people invented or who is in fact from Bern!
