If you venture to Simons Town in the Western Cape, there are lots of restaurants you will want to pop in for lunch: I did a little preview of Trip Advisor and suggestions included The Lighthouse Cafe, The Salty Sea Dog, Bertha’s and Mangata Restaurant.

We had made no reservations, so we just parked our car in the first empty spot we saw off the Main Road and fortunately, all of these places are in the same walking distance area. The town was abuzz so we spotted empty seats at Bertha’s and just went straight in. The food was good, especially the fish and chips and I had to giggle because Zara matched that tablecloths!

p.s. if you are looking for a fancy meal or it’s a special occasion then I would definitely say book to go to Mangata. It’s on my Return to Simons Town list!
