I received this book from Zara for Christmas, as she knows I love romance novels. It is the first time that I have read a Sarah Long book and as her style is similar to Katie Fforde I immediately took to it. I however didn’t enjoy it as much as I typically would. Maybe it is because the characters were a little bit older than I am used to: “early retirees” or maybe because the overall the storyline didn’t seem to get into too much detail and depth. I did however, throughly enjoy the “Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe” scene and the insights into the relationships one has with now-adult children…

I am keen to also read her other books this year and my sister shared a great goal to have in the New Year. In 2021 read 21 books! So here goes… but this one doesn’t count yet as I actually read it last year.
