And now for a local’s best kept secret… The Table on the De Meye Farm in Stellenbosch is something special. Liam’s Dad found out about it and made a reservation for Liam’s Moms birthday. The restaurant is only open Thursdays to Sundays and only for lunch with a set three course meal. But don’t let that dissuade you – it is worth the pre-planning.
The restaurant is set out on their expansive lawn with wooden tables and chairs are placed under the trees. The food is all prepared in the kitchen by the chef Jessica with her husband Luke sharing the details all about the local produce sourced and used.
We spent a long lazy lunch here and the girls loved being able to play on the lawns and eat lots of homemade ice cream!
