Plans are underway for the Kids Bunk Room makeover and eventhough structurly nothing is changing, this is already one of my favourite rooms to design. The idea is to maximise the medium sized room to sleep 4 kids. Afterall, kids only really sleep in their bedrooms, and the rest of the time they want to spread themselves and toys all over the house.
Each room is having a slight “theme” and for the kids one I am channeling Swiss things like William Tell, apples, arrows, the Swiss Army etc. Naturally, the base colours are white and grey and browns (like the rest of apartment) but here I am bringing in pops of red and a little black.
I still am working on the art for the walls – unfortunately with two walls being dominated by bunks, a wall of windows and a very small space between the headboards of the bunks and the ladders – I am actually not sure how much space there will be. I was thinking of just this simple arrow banner except I see it is no longer available, so back to the drawing board I go.
