During the holidays I realised that my girls need to have some targeted activities otherwise they would just be online all the time! I planned outside, sport and baking activities myself but still felt that more art and crafts based activities were lacking. I am not short of supplies but more short of ideas or worse the girls would finally come up with an idea but then find that we were in fact one or two supplies short! In my mind, I was like I wish there was a “thing” where you had a little guide and a box with everything you need to make one thing all-in-one! And then I remembered seeing online years ago a company called Kiwi Crate. Basically exactly what I had wished for; but thought it was only for little kids.

Fortunately, I went to check it out and I am so glad I did as it has evolved so much over the years. The crates are not just art projects for kiddies but instead address a large range of STEAM initiatives and for a wide range of ages! I signed up Zara for the Doodle Crate (Art & Design) and Bailey for the Tinker Crate (Science & Engineering) but you will also see lines for ages 0 all the way up to 104! and other areas of exploration, discovery, playing, learning, geography, culture etc. Totally tempted to get the “Adult” one.

Last month, Zara made this succulent garden and Bailey did paper spinning wheel art by building an electric spinning wheel! The new months’ crates just arrived so I can’t wait to see what is next. But this is one package I have to wait for the girls to open first…
