When my sister and I were little, we used to play all the time with our Barbies and Sylvanian Families (or as we like to call them: Forest Families or “Fories” for short). We had thought we had grown out of them and gave everything away all in one day to one of neighbours but we soon found out that the exchanged make up kit was not nearly as much fun. Unfortunately, for my Mom we discovered that our role play games could be played with her Brambly Hedge mice that she used to collect. The problem being that these were made out of Royal Doulton. To this day I am still amazed that we never broke or even chipped one of them.
My mom still has them and with the Girls upcoming First Communion Celebration I realised that these figurines would make the sweetest addition to the table decorations amoung all the flowers and leaf garlands I am planning. I am even thinking that the Little Primrose Woodmouse and Little Catkin will make the cutest cake toppers! Plus, I was able to find some on Etsy to add to my Mom’s collection.
