Last week, when visiting the Glacier Garden in Luzern I was able to see allsorts of beautiful spring flowers and one of my favourites for the first time. The Lily of the Valley I have known through stories and hymns but have never seen in “real life” and there they were growing along the banks of the garden and looking near perfect. Did you know they are called “Maiglöckchen” in German which is very apt as they do grow in the wild in the month of May and look like little bells.
