Eventhough we are not American, I think having a celebration where you gather famiy around the table for a big meal is a great annual tradition. And even moreso the tradition of taking the time to be thankful for all you have. I planned a simple menu of soup and salad (sorry, no turkey girls!) as we were going out that evening for dinner at friends. I then also decided to decorate the table inspired by the cute Krima and Isa “Wild” stationery line. I loved the little squirrel illustrations and they suited some of the neutral goodies I bought last week as part of IKEA’s limited collection: table runner, napkins and ceramic vases. But my favourite idea was using their little notebooks to great a gratitude journal for each of us to fill in three things we are thankful for everyday until the book is completely full!
