My friend Kerstin came up with the best idea to celebrate Halloween this year here in Switzerland. We are organising a “Trunk or Treat” in the school’s parking lot. Have you heard of it before? It’s a trend of celebrating Halloween in a parking lot where you fill up your car boots (trunks) with candy and drive to a designated spot. Kids then dress up and go car to car, collecting booty. Naturally, going door-to-door is probably more of an adventure but here in Switzerland Halloween is not a big thing and last year only one house was handing out candy in our neighbourhood and it really was more of a throat lozenger – I kid you not! So pretty excited to decorate our car boot; I am still thinking of a theme but how cool is this invite Amanda designed for us…
