Another huge plus of the new house is the Dining Room. It is a proper space that can be closed off from the living area by a sliding door and it sits 8 guests very comfortably. We always eat dinner at the dining room table and so to now have a dedicated space that won’t be covered in my junk or the girls homework (there is a breakfast table in the kitchen area) is a dream come true for Liam!
As nearly all of our walls in the house are white, I decided to replicate the look that I created and love in our Cape Town dining room. So this week the walls will be painted a dark blue – this time I am using Architect’s Finest Belem. And to make the room seem not so formal, I had US artist Theresa Losa custom paint for us an original “Lake People” scene. The look is finished off with Foscarini lights, Carl Hansen Wishbone chairs and an oak table by Mobimex. And on the other wall I am planning to finally display my Royal Copenhagen collection.
