When we were in Johannesburg this summer (South Africa’s winter) we were staying at the Palazzo Hotel at Montecasino and right next door was their Bird Gardens. We spent a great morning walking around the gardens and seeing all the different kinds of birds and having a bit of a competition to see who could identify the most. My faourite was the Cockatoo who I swear only started swinging on his perch when we told him too!
