Knowing that we were going to South Africa, I had one plan and one plan only: to eat lots of meat! I decided to check out Trip Advisor to see what they would classify as the best of the best and was fondly reminded of Wombles. I had never been before when they were at their old location and now that their new location is literally donw the road from my old house and up the road from my parents new one, dinner with the whole family was booked!
As soon as we entered their doors it was like we were transported to another time, think out of the pages of Out of Africa. We were seated at a huge round table which was great as we could all easily chat to each other and then I had the best steak of my life! And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I had the best dessert of my life: Rosewater Ice Cream filled with turkish delight, nougat, chocolate, rose petals and topped with a raspberry sauce. It is an old family recipe and they should guard it with their lives! Go just for this!
