Travelling to Jordan for a week was one of the best trips we have ever had. It really is the ideal place to visit in October, as it is still warm, but no rain or humidity – and it is not nearly as busy as it is in Easter or the Summer Holidays. We left Zurich on Saturday and flew to Amman via Vienna and stayed at the lovely Four Seasons Hotel. We met our tour guide Fadi the next day and headed out to city of Jerash about forty-five minutes away. We learnt so much the history of the City and Jordan and a few highlights included listening to the acoustics of the amphitheatre, learning all the three different styles of columns and viewing the most beautiful floor mosaics which are the perfect permanent “rugs on the floor”.
