We weren’t actually planning to go to Madame Tussades, but on Sunday we realised we had a few hours in the morning before our plane would leave and so we thought we try and see if we could make a quick visit. It was quite easy getting there with the tube but even early in the morning (just before ten on a Sunday) there were long queues. Whilst everyone was standing waiting, I decided to check online and there is an option to buy “jump the queue” tickets, naturally these cost more, but there was NO ONE at this door and I figured that we are not likely to make the trip here again in a hurry and with no other plans for the day, I bought them online there and then.
We all enjoyed the museum and there are so many great photo opportunities – an instagrammer’s paradise! I would definitely recommend it for pre-teens and if you have young boys they will love the current Superhero hall of fame. We only stayed an hour or so as we were pressed for time, but I think you could easily spend twice as long but for value for money probably buy tickets in advance and if you are planning to do the Londn Eye and/or Shrek’s Adventure you end up getting these tickets at an even further discounted rate. It is just a pity that the museum closes at the end of the day, as I think this would be a great before or after dinner event too.
