One can definitely not go to London without seeing a show on the West End. As Zara and Anneke were seeing Part 1 and Part 2 of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, I was able to organise Bailey and I to see Aladdin on the Thursday night and Liam and Bailey saw The Lion King on the Friday evening. Both shows are A-MAZING! And even you don’t like the theatre, I guarantee you will enjoy a West End production.
I have seen the Lion King in Johannesburg before, and the opening scene brought me to tears. The costumes are incredible and I loved how they stayed true to the Disney story. Same goes for Aladdin and it was great to have live fireworks and confetti sparying all over the audience too.
Most the shows begin at 19h30, and there are so many resturants nearby that I recommend having an early dinner near your theatre – and you will often find many of the places have great set menus and discounted prices too. Also, if you find yourself in London and haven’t yet booked tickets many of the theatres release a last batch of tickets on the day at discounted prices, so possibly get up early and head to the Box Office and you may be in luck.
