I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun decorating a party table and largely with goodies I just had on hand. I was inspired to create the different places in the Peter Pan book after I bought these cute little printable party arrow signs.
For London, I used the little wooden houses that I had bought for Christmas last year, some old books tied up with ribbon and a little Wendy and Peter Pan figurines from Bullyland.
For Pixie Hollow, I had bought some giant fake leaves for a Summer Party and placed these on the table together with Solar Powered Glass Jars, a mini Tinkerbell, a thimble and lots of leaves and foxgloves and roses from our garden.
For Skull Rock, Crocodile Creek and Mermaid Lagoon, I had the impromptu idea to fluff up a blue tablecloth for the sea, I then added in the Boat (which is actually a kite) I bought in Switzerland and some gold coins. The scene then just kept getting better as I found old bottles on my shelves upstairs, my skull shaped salt and pepper shakers and Zara completed the lagoon with her Barbie mermaid tails!
Last but not least the place settings, were decorated with paper napkins and feathers made to look like Peter Pan hats and then my new favourite idea for parties: writing little tags or placecards with quotes from the book.
