One of my four goals this year was to travel the world with my family (my SHARE goal). This is a goal that naturally brings us all such joy, and over the past few years I have learnt quite a few tricks of the trade to keep costs low, high on adventure, light on the packing front and heavy on the fun factor. So many dream destinations that Liam and I have had came true in 2019 and for the girls, ones they never even knew existed. My travel goals are always broken down into different categories and this year we touched on each one; and here is a little summary…

See the Wonders of the World: This year we saw The Great Wall of China, The Masai Mara, The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus and Petra in Jordan.

Visit a province in South Africa the girls have never been to: Going on safari in the Limpopo Province with my family.

Enjoy the holidays with our extended families: This year we went to both Cape Town and Johannesburg:

Visit a Schengen Country we have never visited before and other big and small European Cities: Scotland, London, Deidesheim in Germany and Colmar in France; and it was great to share these places with both friends and family!

And naturally adventuring in and around Switzerland and our favourite ski resort, Andermatt:

I can’t wait to get started on our travel plans for 2019.

Like they say “Travel is like knowledge. The more you see, the more you know you haven’t seen!”
