On our last day in Zambia, we went to the local village to learn all about how the locals live. We were able to visit their gardens and homesteads and see how they use the local foilage to make their houses, furniture, clothing, cleaning products and medicine. It was fascinating and humbling. We were also able to support them by buying their local arts and crafts – and I am so impressed with their colourful fabric table linen, food covers and beadwork and carvings. What a very special day indeed (and we got to see an bachelor elephant herd en route!).
