My favourite tour in Edinburgh was the one we did of the Royal Yacht Britannia. This is the former royal yacht of the British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, and was in service from 1954 until 1997. It is in pristine condition and the tour was so informative especially as each person is given an audio guide and you get to learn all about the different rooms, their functions and then stories about the staff and the royal family.
Some of my highlghts included seeing the Queen’s modest bedroom, the beautifully set banquet dining room and the little Copenhagen monkey which was a gift from Denmark (which I have too!). Liam and Zara had fun at the bar taking selfies with a Corgi (soft toy), whilst Bailey and I spent a good amount of time deciding what fudge we wanted at the little Sweet Shop on board. Our favourite moment was when the girls asked Liam what movies were on the casette tapes they spotted!
