I love wallpaper but realise that I can’t be covering every single wall in our home in patterned paper. And so in looking for alternatives to dramatic focal points I love this inexpensive idea from Sarah Richardson Design. Here she framed not only a few beautiful pieces of artwork but created an entire grid wall of 12 co-ordinating ones; and it totally makes the living room.
THE INSPIRATION
Just off our new guest bedroom is an indoor sun lounge. The space is quite narrow and therefore I can only fit in a sofa against the one back wall looking out the large wall of windows and possibly a narrow bench and/or leaf coffee tables just in front. So to make the room fill a bit more interesting I am going to make a wall of similar pictures. Fortunately, for me, Jackie Diedam created a floral calendar and was selling the original artwork all together! There are 20 pieces and fit prefectly into these white frames from IKEA. I can’t wait to have it all up on the wall. So if you are looking for a similar idea, check out Rifle Paper Co and Cavallini & Co. as their wall calendars are also perfect for framing!
