On our second day in Uluru we rose before sunrise to make our way to Kata Tjuta – one of the mountain ranges formed in the area and watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was a little bit hazy on the horizon so no spectacular colours but still worthwhile to be up early in the Outback and take it all in. Afterwards, we walked with our guide through Walpa Gorge (which is windy in Aborginie – and yes! it lived up to it’s name!). Our guide Rick from SEIT was great – he is ex-milatry and used to teach survival skills in the harshest of Australian places; so his knowledge of the “bush” is incredible and he is great storyteller to boot!
