For many years I have heard about The Castle of Chillon on the shores of Lake Geneva but have never visited. For our 23 of 26 canton visit we decided to go to the canton of Vaud and the Castle. It is magnificent and we loved the tour especially taking the Children’s map along.
Did you know that Lord Byron wrote a beautiful poem about the prisoner that stayed there. Here are some of the moving words:
